Wooden Church by the Pond

A wooden church with shingled roofs and a small cupola topped by a cross rises behind a tall palisade fence. In the foreground, a small pond with stones is edged by reeds, boulders and thorny shrubs; beyond it are a little arched bridge, trees and rolling hills under a cloudy sky.

One of twelve graphic works depicting Vodianyky (Cherkasy region), made in 2017–2018 for Oleksandr Cherevko’s «Sovin Yar» collection; the works were later used for a calendar.
