Naturaleza

Inspired in part by my childhood memories of my father telling me stories about the ancient Maya civilization, Naturaleza reflects on how humanity leaves its traces on the world while nature continues to hold mysteries far beyond our understanding. The image of Pakal’s sarcophagus lid appears among two human figures, flowing water and flowers, brought together in a vivid palette of pink, red and deep green.
