Awakening

Awakening is an intimate story of inner opening and the acceptance of one’s own sensuality. ⠀ This painting was created between Thailand and Barcelona: the first strokes appeared in the warm island atmosphere at the beginning of 2025, and the final touches and copper leaf shimmer were added during the summer in Spain. ⠀ The copper details evoke the feeling of an icon, merging with the contemporary image of a woman, her bodily wisdom, and the quiet light within. ⠀ It is a story about letting go of control — that moment when tension melts away and true pleasure emerges, like an invisible light radiating beyond the body.
